Evangelists Need to Listen Too
Last week, I wrote about my experiences at the MSDN Silverlight event, and how they weren’t that great. A few days later, I got an email from Microsoft Belgium in which their Developer Evangelist Katrien De Graeve invited me to come round. So they could explain.
I said yes, invited Peter from Digipoint, whose Twitter update I had quoted, and at the end of November I’ll be at a 1:F meeting with MS. Apparently, evangelists read blogs too.
If anyone else is interested, there may be one or two spots left at the table. Now I only have to find out what a 1:F meeting is.
It’s ironic though. I actually think MS are on the right track with Silverlight, with their concept of “software with services” instead of Saas, and with their new cloud computing service Azure.
It’s just such a damn pity that everything they do seems so counter-intuitive, unflexible, complicated and ugly. Tell you more end of Nov.
