11 Days, 12 Nights
Just to show you what 11 days (or so) of not being online (or barely) can do to your feed reader count.
Update: that’s due to holiday/vacation, not depression, illness, connectivity issues or lack of interest. Just so you know…
What’s interesting though is the distribution here, which may be due to my own tastes and subscription trends, or which may hint at a broader tendency; one in which tech and web are expectedly strong on the web, the arts and culture, books and literature less so.
The fact that food has only one unread post is because of me, but only 44 for Apple? What, no new goodies from Cupertino?
A few of the unread posts counts from my Google Reader tags. Total count was 9695 at time of publishing.

I thought I had sensed a lack of Nils in the blogosphere.
I would bet a million dollars that your food blog is Heat Eat Review.
July 30th, 2008 at 3:04 pmYeah, the things a couple days off from work can do to you.
I had to check, and it’s Delicious Days – also good – so I mended that by subscribing to the equally excellent HER.
Sorry about the million dollars
July 30th, 2008 at 3:46 pmF that. I’ll pay you next Friday.
